  • Table Top Sale

    Sat 20 Oct 2012
What a great morning was had by all, sampling the many delights on offer at our table top sale. There were breads and cheeses, jams, chutneys, marmalade and cakes. A lot of cakes, all washed down with teas and coffees. We had stalls selling facinating facinators, beautiful jewellery, scarfs, bags, photo cards, some exquisite crafts and many, many other assorted gifts. There was face painting and toys, in fact, there was something for everyone.
Our thanks again go to Helen and The Friends for organising such a super fundraiser, to all the organisations for coming to support us and to you all for coming and helping to make it such a great event.

  • Dassett Dining

    Wed 17 Oct 2012
It was wonderful to see so many parents of our Reception children joining us for lunch today (Wednesday 17th). We hope you enjoyed it as much as the children and we did.
The food was delicious (as always) and the children really enjoyed showing their parents our lunchtime systems and eating with their friends and family. The atmosphere was super and it was a great opportunity for parents to meet each other and make new acquaintances.
Our thanks to Pam, our school cook, her fabulous team and the midday supervisors for making it such an enjoyable experience. There were lots of compliments about the quality and range of the food available and one parent stated, 'school dinners were not like this when I was at school - I would have loved it if they were!'
The date for the Year 1 parents will be announced shortly.

  • Small Schools Football Finals

    Thu 11 Oct 2012

What an exciting afternoon we had on Thursday as our Year 6 Football Team took part in the Finals Tournament of the Small Schools’ Finals at Bishop Itchington School.
Each match lasted 10 minutes and the team played amazingly well, passing accurately, dribbling skilfully and displaying a fabulous team spirit, especially when we know that they have had only one competitive match before today. The opposing school teams had been playing together for a number of years and were extremely strong and, unfortunately, we lost our matches. Better luck next time everyone.
A big thank you to the parents who helped with transport and cheered us on and to Mr Hann for acting as coach.

We are all very proud of the team and your wonderful sporting spirit. You were fabulous representatives of the school.

  • ....The Dassett Primary FC 9 (nine).... St Patricks 0...

    Fri 05 Oct 2012
What a debut from The Dassett Primary FC! The boys and girl from The Dassett acquitted themselves with great style, commitment and panache to run in nine goals against St Patrick school from Leamington. A good crowd roared the team on to victory this afternoon at the Sports Fields in Fenny Compton. Our thanks to Dave Finch for allowing us use of facilities, Mr Pratt for his coaching prowess and Mr Hynd for refereeing the match at short notice.
The team represented the school excellently and we look forward to seeing you in action again next Thursday.
A full match report from the team captain Ben (Year 6) will be read out in assembly on Monday and will be appearing here thereafter.
Team Sheet: Jay, Miki, Scott, Archie, Glen, Hollie, Edward, Kiran, Joshua, Ben (c), Max.
