This Term

Our topic for the Summer term is Magnificent Monarchs , a history project. Obviously, this works beautifully with the coronation of King Charles III. In the Magnificent Monarchs project, your child will learn about English and British monarchs from AD 871 to the present day and consider how the power of the monarchy has changed over time. They will study six significant sovereigns; Alfred the Great, William the Conqueror, Henry VIII, Elizabeth I, Queen Victoria and Elizabeth II. Finally, they will choose which of the sovereigns that they have studied is the most significant. Both our art and DT will link with this topic learning about portraits and poses in art and textiles  in DT.  In science, we will continue to investigate  plant and human survival. Our RE work will focus on prayer, specifically Friday prayers and we will complete our work on Anand Karaj. PE and forest school will be on a Friday morning with Onside.
