Girl Power 2024

Our five Year 5 girls attended Stratford Leisure Centre for their leadership training to become this year's Girl Power Mentors.  This programme, which KS2 girls have taken part in during the past two years will start after half-term.  It sees girls from upper key stage 2 (Years 5 & 6) leading a series of break/lunchtime activities for girls in lower key stage 2 (Years 3 and 4), seeking to promote the fun, enjoyment and participation in physical activity.  Having so few girls in Years 3 and 4 (there are only six), we are also opening this programme up to the girls from Year 2.  We will update you further once the programme gets underway.  The Year 5’s run the activities under the supervision and support of Mrs Malby and Mr Foyle.

Girl Power Project 2023

This is the second year that we have taken part in this project.  The girls attended a launch/training session for this year's Girl Power Project.  The aim of this project is for the girls to organise and lead a series of lunchtime physical activities engaging the year 3 and 4 pupils.
