A Sporting Start

We are delighted to report that our Specialist Sports Teaching with 'Onside Coaching' started on Day 1 of our new academic year with Year 1 and Year 2 pupils benefitting from their expertise. The children and teachers (Mr Duffy and Mr Compton) really enjoyed their session and were all 'puffed out' after their running around in the 'Motorway Game'. They are really looking forward to next week and represented the school extremely well. Mr Duffy and Mr Compton commented on the children's excellent behaviour and will be working with pupils in Year 1 - 6 throughout the whole of the Autumn Term, when class teachers have their PPA time. For Year 5 and 6 this will be on Wednesdays and for Year 3 and 4 this will be on Thursday. This term the skills that the children will be developing are those linked to the game of handball.
