The Friends’ Canvas Bag Returns!

As Tim Minchin would have it: Just think about the world, And how the world would be fantastic, If we could get rid of all the plastic, We just need to get enthusiastic, Organize a competition gymnastic, Or a bag making comp at your school!

Yes – those fabulous personalised canvas bags from the Christmas Fayre 3 years ago are making a re-appearance. If you would like to surprise your family and friends with a canvas bag featuring a design by your child(ren) then you will find a template and order form in book bags today. Your child will need to get busy creating a design (suggested artwork could by family, seasons, hobbies, plants, sports etc.) to go onto the bag and this should be done on the reverse of the order form. Please follow the guidelines on how to get the best result. The finished results were stunning and of high quality and would make fabulous Christmas Presents at just £6 a bag. Designs must be returned to school by Wednesday 24th September to meet deadlines for production from the company and have them ready for collection at the Christmas Fayre. We will be providing Tuesday lunchtime as an extra opportunity for your child to do their design, in case they cannot be done at home before Wednesday.

From The Friends'

Design a canvas shopper!!

As part of our continued fund-raising efforts this term, The Friends have included a form and blank page in the book bags this week, for your child to create their very own work of art, which can be printed on to the front of a large Canvas Shopper bag.  Pictures can be created over the weekend at home or early next week in school. The bags are tough, fun and make fabulous Christmas presents, and to make Christmas shopping even easier, siblings can also submit designs from home to be made into bags!

Bags cost ₤6 each.  All orders and any sibling designs must be placed by Wednesday 24th September at the latest.

Please see below for further information and guidelines.

Shopping bags

As part of our fundraising efforts for this term, the children have the opportunity of designing shopping bags.  The cloth bags are very sturdy and spacious (44 x 40cm) and washable. The bag is not a group effort.  The bag you order will be one designed by your child so makes a perfect present for everyone in the family – and they’re easy to post too!

Each bag costs £6 and is “manufactured to order”.  If you would like a bag designed by your child, please complete the order form at the bottom of the page and return it, along with their own design,to the school. Please mark it: Shopping bags, with payment by Wednesday 24th September at the latest for delivery in time for Christmas.

Siblings (and parents!) can make bags too!  If you have other children not at the school and would like them to make bags as well, please feel free to do a design and submit it, along with payment, by Wednesday 24th September at the latest.

Rules for sibling artwork: Use white A4 paper, portrait or landscape.  Use bright, bold colours – paints, felt tips, marbling inks.  Do not use pencils or crayons.  No glitter please.  Faint or wishy-washy colours do not work.  Write the designer’s name on the back AND the name and class of the child in the school.  Ensure that sibling artwork is kept flat when sent to the school
