RNLI Safety Workshops
Our Key Stage 2 children had a wonderful time meeting 2 lifeguards from the RNLI in school today. They came as part of the Beach to City program, to help spread the important message about how to stay safe on the beach and near to water.
The children learned about what the flags mean on a beach - when to swim and when not to swim - and how to throw a life ring to someone safely to help them if they were in a river or canal - hugely important given where we live!
Not only was it a potentially life-saving presentation, it was also good fun and the children will certainly remember the messages given by the members of this amazing, and predominantly voluntary, rescue service.
