Fenny Compton Remembers

Fenny Compton Remembers, Sunday 9th November

Please join the villagers of Fenny Compton to mark Remembrance Sunday on this 100th Anniversary of the beginning of WW1 and 75th Anniversary of the start of WW2.   They are hoping to get as many people out as possible to support a Parade of Servicemen and women, Fire Service, Scout and Brownie Groups starting at The Merrie Lion at 1040,with a short ceremony around the War Memorial at 1050 which will be followed by tea, coffee and cakes in the Village Hall.

If any children or parents have family medals they would like to wear in memory of those who have served, they would be welcome to join the Parade which is gathering in the Pub car park at 1020.

There is also a whole series of events taking place at the Church, Village Hall and Pub, details of which can be found in the Compton Chronicle or by calling Fiona Meyrick on 770865.
