Food For Life Silver
We are absolutely thrilled to be able to announce that The Dassett has just been awarded the prestigious Food For Life Silver Award – one of only 50 or so schools in the country to have attained this level! This comes hot on the heels of the Bronze we achieved at the end of last year and means that since our commencing the Awards scheme last May Bank Holiday we have achieved two Awards in eleven months – quite unprecedented – so much so we have been asked to be a case study school and now we are moving on to the Gold.
It is a glowing endorsement of everything we are doing here at The Dassett, with regard to healthy eating, and we thank the Gardening and Cooking Clubs, our amazing kitchen team, The Friends for supporting our move away from flight trays and everyone that has been involved in this truly astounding progression.
We will be collecting our two Awards on Wednesday 27th April and Sam and Charlotte (Y6) will be attending and doing a presentation on how we have made this happen. Well done everyone!
