Mrs. Kirsten Pounds Reception, Religious Education
(On maternity leave)
Mrs. Samantha Moll Year 1, Assessment & Standards Leader, Curriculum Leader
I have worked in Years 1-6 at the Dassett, initially as a teaching assistant and now as a teacher for the past 8 years. I particularly enjoy teaching Year 1 as it is the transition from the EYFS to Key Stage 1, a key time where children develop the skills they will build on in later years. I have two children both at Kineton High School and in my spare time I like visiting the theatre, reading and travelling.
Mrs. Samantha Parkes Year 2, SENCO/Intervention Leader, NQT Mentor,
First Aider, Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead
During my time at The Dassett I have taught Years 1-5 at various times. I have enjoyed the uniqueness of each class and seeing how children's learning develops during their time with us. I feel really lucky to work at such a wonderful school. In my free time I enjoy playing and listening to music, reading and ringing the bells at Burton Dassett church.
Mrs Natalie Collen Year 3, PE Curriculum and Inter-School Competition, PSHE
(On maternity Leave)
I particularly enjoy teaching English, as children glue together the rules that we cover through exciting topics and produce work they can be proud of.
P.E is a subject I also enjoy, as keeping fit and healthy makes us all feel great and we can have lots of fun building on our skills along the way.
In my spare time, I love nothing more than taking my scruffy little dog, Molly, for a brisk walk across the fields and spending quality time with family and friends.
Miss Rachael Williams Reception, Science, Music and Student Mentor
This is my 6th year at the Dassett and I have previously taught Years 1 and 4 here. This year, I am really excited to be moving into Reception and starting our newest children on their school journeys. My favourite subject is Science and I love seeing children develop their curiosity about the world around them. Outside of school, I love to read, spend time with friends and travel. I also play the flute and piano in my spare time.
Ms. Jane Marsh Year 3/4 (Mon-Weds) Literacy, Humanities & School Council
I am looking forward to working in this year group. I enjoy being outside and walking my dog, Toby. I enjoy spending time with my friends and family especially my Grandson. I enjoy all aspects of literacy. I like to write poetry and I have read my compositions at weddings and christenings. I particularly enjoy reading historic novels.
Mrs. Jessica White Year 3/4 (Thurs-Fri)
I have been teaching in Lower Key Stage 2 for the past 5 years and I am excited to be joining the friendly team at The Dassett. I believe children’s education should be delivered in a creative and enthusiastic way, allowing all learners to reach their potential through a child-centred approach. I am returning to work part-time after having a year off to have my son and I will be teaching the 3/4 class on Thursdays and Fridays.
Mrs. Georgie Saunders Year 4/5
Mrs. Beth Hanna Year 6, Maths, ICT
This will be my fourth year at The Dassett and my third in Year 6. I can't wait to get started with my new class in a September and look forward to helping the prepare for secondary school. It is a very busy year with lots of exciting challenges for the children. Outside of school I love being in the great outdoors - climbing and hiking are particular favourites, as well as walking my dogs and swimming with my daughter.
