We cannot wait for the the start of the Summer term, and boy, do we kick off with a bang?! We have The History Squad visiting The Dassett School to bring us The Vikings and The Anglo-Saxons for the day, this will introduce our new topic of Traders and Raiders!  After making our own longboat, we will sail back to the Dark Ages, where battles were rife and fear reigned. Finding out about the lives of the Saxons, including how they lived and where they came from will be the theme to our learning. Meet the bloodthirsty Vikings from Scandinavia – never before had such terror swept the land! I am excited to teach this topic, and to seeing the progression we will all make. If you would like to speak to me about anything I am available, either contact the school office or use Seesaw.
