PSHE
Personal, Social and Health Education is a planned, developmental programme of learning designed to help learners develop the knoweldge, understanding and skills they need to manage their lives, now and in the future.
It deals with real life issues which affect children, their families and their communities and engages the social and economic realities of their lives, experiences and attitudes.
At The Dassett we follow the Social and Emotional Aspects of Learning (SEAL) Programme, as well as using the Warwickshire Taking Care, Protective Behaviours scheme and making relevant links within the science curriculum.
Children in Year 5 and 6 are visited by the school nurse to be taught about elements of SRE (Sex and Relationships Education) such as body changes during puberty.
