This Term:
Welcome to Year Two. During this year we have lots of exciting learning to do. We cover topics such as seaside, living in 1953, explorers, civil rights and Africa.
In science we spend a lot of time learning about the world around us starting with ourselves and keeping healthy.
Each week you will be set homework that includes reading, spellings maths and literacy. This needs to be back by Wednesday. Awesome Additions and spelling tests usually happen on Fridays unless one of us is not in class then we will do them on Thursday.
PE days are Monday and Wednesday and it is really important that you have your kit in school on that day especially pumps that fit.
In Year 2 we do have end of Key Stage tests in May. During the year we will be getting ready for them and it is important that you do not worry as they are only a small part of an exciting year.
Looking forward to a great year.
We are also home to the RHS Rocket Science Experiment. See the story here: http://www.thedassettprimary.co.uk/the-rhs-rocket-science-project/
